Photo dump Eight: Climbing

Early morning leaving Fort Collins.
As the landscape gets prettier I stop taking pictures of people and places and start taking more scenery.
See?
At about 7200 feet.  The taller mountains in the distance are in Rocky Mountain National Park, I think.
At 8000 feet, right before our 1000 foot descent over 20 miles into Laramie.
So those sort of white topped mountains in the distance in these last two photos are the Snowy Mountains which we originally were going to go around.   But...
At the urging of several bike shop workers and our warm shower hosts, we decided to climb them instead.

From Laramie at 7000 feet too the pass at 10800 feet.
With a little stone tower at top for looking out.
Mirror Lake on the down hill.  It was not terribly mirror like due to a twenty mph wind.  Cold and in our faces.
As we descended the air warmed from the low 40s to the mid 70s.  And who should meet us on our way down but Evan and his family! They had just bought a camper van and were giving it its maiden voyage.  And they gave us ice cream sandwiches. You guys are the best.
So Molly already posted about the hot springs in Saratoga, but here is the campsite we stayed at in the morning.
