Last two weeks. A photo dump and recap.

I have been remiss in posting on this blog.  Well, no longer.  At least for now.  Here are a bunch of photos and such from the last week.

In Virginia, by Lake Anna, we were assaulted by ducklings.  Cutest assault ever.

So Klean Kanteen was kind enough to send me a stainless growler.  Someone must know how important beer is to fuel bikers.  So far, it's been pretty awesome.  It keeps beer (or often, water) cold all day, even when it's been 100 degrees out in the middle of NC. And it's nice to have a little beer at dinner when you camp.

An advantage of leaving early in the morning to start biking (before 6) other than cooler temperatures is great sunrises.  You already become so aware of the movement of the sun when you are in it all day.  It makes it even better to watch it come up in the morning.

Only 750 miles, and we finally reached Southie.

Two new roadside crops started showing up as soon as we crossed the Potomac.  Soy (the shorter green leafy plant) and tobacco (the taller, leafier plant).

What do I mostly see on this trip?  My handle bars and front tire.  Whee.

The front of a mansion in Reidsville VA and the Lucky Strike factory that probably had a lot to do with the presence of said mansion.  There has been a notable uptick of tobacco products and users of such since entering Virginia.
