Nik and I have always prided ourselves on our ability to "code switch" well. This cross country bike trip had been evidence of just that. Last night we were staying at a self service bike hostel (prior to this trip I did not even know such a concept existed, and it probably doesn't outside of Tebbets Missouri were the almost non existent population makes it possible to maintain), the night before that we slept under a pavilion by a baseball field surround by a graduation party for a high school student in Marthaville MO, and tonight, tonight we are staying at a plush bed and breakfast (where we are the only guests) nestled amoung Missouri vineyards taking advantage of the Monday afternoon happy hour (as Nik studies the flow of the Missouri River of course).
