Rough day, got two flat tires plus my shifters needed some repairs and of course we got caught in some down pours to top it off. Our moral was redeemed however when we arrived in Fredricksburg VA. Fredricksburg is a really cute college town filled with really kind friendly people whose chatty manners remind you that you are now in the south (we also saw our first confederate flag which I found a fortunate irony because it was the same day the Senate vote to take down the Confederate flag on the state house in South Carolina).
In Fredricksburg we stayed with Brook's sister's husband's sister's girlfriend's parents (we think it was something like that. Despite the genius connection they were some of the most gracious hosts we have ever met in our lives. For pictures of their art room see Nik's post.
