Day 120: Last Day in Australia, Gelato, Kangaroo

This may be our most foodie day ever in this year of travel:

It started with a bike ride, and gelato:

The area around the University of Melbourne has a very Italian feel, so lots of chocolate and gelato.

A quick visit to the University's modern art museum, and then Vietnamese inspired sea food:

Well, Molly had the soft shell crab.  I went with the pork belly and fried egg.

Next, back by the market, grilled octopus on a skewer.
And as the sun went down:

Wait, what's that?
Yep, grilled kangaroo, cooked so rare it was still hopping around, over quinoa and rice, served with local mixed greens and grilled asparagus.

And the wine was from a winery in the Orange area.  Very very tasty.

The next day, super early, we were flying back to New Zealand.  So we booked a car, and went to bed early.  Soon we will be hiking again!
